The remarks were shared by CBS, based on interviews with several individuals familiar with the events at Mar-a-Lago between Election Day in November and Inauguration Day. CBS reported that Trump quipped, “Everyone calls me chaotic, but look at South Korea,” during a conversation.
Trump also humorously mentioned he would meet with South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol “if they ever stop impeaching him,” according to the report.
The exact timing of Trump’s comments is unclear, but it seems he was referring to the political turmoil following Yoon’s martial law declaration on December 3 and his subsequent impeachment by the National Assembly.
