Marlon Wayans and Soulja Boy found themselves in a heated online exchange after the rapper reacted to a joke made by the comedian a month earlier.
The dispute began in late January when Wayans appeared on 101.1 The Wiz. He discussed several rappers performing at Donald Trump’s inauguration and targeted Soulja Boy in particular. Wayans suggested that the rapper had been “canceled” and only took the gig to stay relevant. He added, “Soulja Boy better go and get that check… He don’t care… I think they thought it was a Bitcoin event, and they found out it was a ball for him, and it was too late to pull out.”
Soulja Boy seemingly caught wind of the comment weeks later and responded aggressively on social media. On February 10, he tweeted, “Marlon Wayans you a b**** and u not funny shut up n**** keep selling ur soul and sucking the higher up d*cks.”
Wayans didn’t hold back, replying with, “Says the coon that jumped over the moon,” referencing Soulja Boy’s performance at Trump’s MAGA ball. He then took aim at Soulja Boy’s role in the movie White Chicks, calling him a “52-year-old black man that dressed up like a white b****.” Soulja Boy fired back, calling Wayans a “broke a** n****.”
The exchange continued with Wayans delivering the final jab, telling Soulja Boy to “go sit your lil a** down on some uncle’s lap and stfu” while also referencing a past claim that Soulja Boy had been “molested.”
In the midst of this back-and-forth with Wayans, Soulja Boy also took aim at rapper Blueface, tweeting, “I heard you in jail getting raped in the booty @bluefacebleedem,” adding a surprising twist to the already tense online feud.
