Recently, Ananya humorously commented on her father’s fashion choices, describing them as “questionable.” She also revealed that they sometimes disagree when selecting movie scripts for her.
In a recent interview with Vogue India, Chunky shared that his daughter admires his fashion sense and often borrows his shirts. However, he mentioned that Ananya does not always agree with his choices for her film roles. Responding to this, Ananya joked, “Your choice of clothing is questionable, but I do borrow your clothes occasionally.”
Ananya explained that their different generations lead to varied perspectives on acting. Despite these differences, they bond over watching films together, enjoying commercial hits like Pushpa 2: The Rule and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion. However, they sometimes clash over script choices. Ananya expressed her desire to explore more diverse and meaningful roles, which sometimes leads to disagreements with her father. She explained, “Sometimes we lock horns when picking scripts because I want to explore my craft as much as possible and do roles that are slightly off-center and more meaningful.”
On the professional front, Ananya has some exciting projects lined up. She will star in Kesari Chapter 2: The Untold Story of Jallianwala Bagh, a historical drama based on the book The Case That Shook The Empire by Raghu Palat and Pushpa Palat. Ananya will share the screen with Akshay Kumar and R. Madhavan in this film, which is set to release on April 18, 2025. Following this, she will appear in the romantic film Chand Mera Dil, where she will be paired opposite Lakshya.
