Southampton midfielder Tyler Dibling has joked about his £100m price tag, revealing that his teammates have been teasing him about it.
The club reportedly set the high price due to Dibling’s youth and status as a homegrown English talent.
The 19-year-old has attracted attention from top clubs, including Newcastle, Manchester United, and several Bundesliga teams.
“There are a few nicknames going around,” Dibling said. “It’s all in good fun. Nobody takes it seriously. It’s just a number.”
Dibling added that his teammate Aaron Ramsdale enjoys the joke, often calling out figures like “90 million” or “80 million” whenever he misses a shot in training.
Despite the playful teasing, Dibling emphasized that his focus remains on improving. “I’m just trying to practice every day and get better. I work hard at training,” he said.
Dibling also expressed his loyalty to Southampton, the club he has been with since the age of eight. “I love Southampton. It’s a great team, and I’m working hard to achieve big things with them,” he said.
