Jelly Roll and Bunnie Xo brought some holiday cheer to their followers with a playful kitchen moment on Christmas Day. The couple, known for their lighthearted social media posts, shared a video of Bunnie attempting to bake gluten-free biscuits, despite her admitted lack of baking skills.
On Wednesday, Dec. 25, Bunnie posted a video on Instagram, captioned, “When you can’t bake to save your life but your hubby requests gluten-free biscuits & he knows how terrible they’re about to be.” In the clip, the pair is seen singing along to Beyoncé’s “Texas Hold ‘Em” as they joke and play in the kitchen.
As Bunnie shapes the dough into biscuit-like pieces and places them on a baking tray, Jelly Roll, 40, teases her, saying, “These are gonna be awful. Those look like sugar cookies.” The two share a laugh, with Bunnie asking, “Should I make them bigger? I’m not a baker.” Jelly Roll offers advice, telling her, “I’d give them more than an inch. I’d give them an inch and a half.”
Bunnie, 44, admits she’s “out of my comfort zone here,” while Jelly continues to joke, saying, “They look like little sugar cookies!” In a playful reference to a friend, Bunnie also captioned the post, “Where is Nara Smith when you need her,” mentioning a model and social media personality known for her cooking skills.
The couple appeared to be in high spirits, enjoying a cozy Christmas together.
In a separate interview, Jelly Roll opened up about his health and fitness journey. In November, the “Wild Ones” singer shared with PEOPLE that he had made significant progress with his weight loss, having shed 110 pounds over the past year. He credited his success to overcoming his food addiction and changing his relationship with food.
“The battle was with the food addiction, changing the way I’ve looked at food for the last 39 years,” he said. “I’ve never had a healthy relationship with food, so that was the hard part. But once you get into that discipline and commitment, it’s like an avalanche.”
Jelly Roll revealed he lost 60 to 70 pounds during his Beautifully Broken tour, which ran from August to November. To stay fit, he and his crew played basketball every day during the tour.
Reflecting on the shift in his lifestyle, Jelly explained how he now focuses on physical activity and healthy eating on the road. “It’s cool because there was once a time in life that the culture I built on tour was the opposite. It revolved around alcohol and drugs,” he said. “And now our tour culture is around good eating, exercising, and doing emotional check-ins with our crew every day.”
