Josh Allen Jokes Joe Brady Has Contributed ‘Nothing’ Amid HC Interest

by Diana Ward

Josh Allen is doing his part to discourage teams from pursuing offensive coordinator Joe Brady for head coaching positions.

The Buffalo Bills quarterback humorously downplayed Brady’s impact when asked about the coordinator’s contributions to the offense in 2024. “Nothing,” Allen said, adding, “Teams should stay away from him.”

Brady has attracted interest from several teams in need of a head coach, including the New York Jets and Jacksonville Jaguars. This growing attention is understandable given the Bills’ offensive success this season. In his first year as offensive coordinator, Brady has helped lead the team to the second-highest points per game average in the league (30.9).

Under Brady’s leadership, Allen has emerged as a leading MVP candidate. The quarterback has thrown for 3,731 yards, 28 touchdowns, and only six interceptions, while also rushing for 531 yards and 12 touchdowns.

While Allen would prefer Brady to stay with the Bills, it’s likely that Brady will land his first head coaching job this offseason.

For now, Allen and the Bills are focused on their Super Bowl ambitions. Buffalo’s playoff journey begins this Sunday against the Denver Broncos.
