Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia sparked fresh rumors about a new romance after joking about her “fake boyfriend” during a recent influencer event.
The 25-year-old PlanBri Uncut podcaster made the comment in a TikTok shared by Tarte Cosmetics on January 12, during their TrippinWithTarte event. In the video, LaPaglia playfully said she had “brought her fake boyfriend” along and hinted at possibly turning him into her “real boyfriend” during the trip.
LaPaglia further fueled the rumors in another TikTok posted on January 13, where she responded to a fan’s comment. The fan had noticed that while most attendees brought friends or family to the event, LaPaglia brought a “random guy” she had just met. In the video, she briefly showed the man lounging next to her.
Despite the playful posts, LaPaglia took to TikTok on January 1 to clear up the confusion surrounding her relationship status. “I don’t have a boyfriend,” she said in the video, addressing the online speculation. “Everyone thinks I have a boyfriend, probably from my Instagram Stories this weekend, but I don’t have a boyfriend. Maybe one day, but not today, and not tomorrow.”
These rumors come after LaPaglia’s public breakup with country singer Zach Bryan in October 2024. LaPaglia shared her feelings of being blindsided when Bryan, 28, announced the end of their relationship on Instagram. Later, in a November 7 episode of the BFF’s Podcast, she accused her ex of emotional abuse during their time together, describing the last year as the “hardest year of my life.”
Bryan, meanwhile, responded to online hate on January 9, addressing rumors about his love life. “All you couch warriors attacking my friends online because you assume I have a girlfriend are weird as hell and should be studied for science,” he wrote on Instagram Stories, clarifying that he is not currently dating anyone. “No matter how bad of a person you think I am, go ahead and come for me. But do not come for my friends, who do nothing but love and care for me.”
