Ali Fedotowsky-Manno shared a humorous story about how she and her husband Kevin decided to start their family after struggling to get friends to attend their Fourth of July party.
On the January 21 episode of Savannah Chrisley’s podcast Unlocked, the 40-year-old former Bachelorette star discussed her journey to motherhood, revealing that she and Kevin decided to have children before their wedding. “We got engaged, and then right after, we decided we wanted to get pregnant. We didn’t want to wait for the wedding, so we started trying for a baby,” Fedotowsky-Manno explained. “I had my daughter first, then had the wedding.”
Reflecting on the timing, she noted that she felt a sense of urgency as she approached 30. “At the time, I was thinking, ‘I could wait to plan this wedding and try to get pregnant, but who knows how long that’ll take? I really wanted kids.’”
One specific moment, however, pushed her decision further. “I remember it was the Fourth of July,” she recalled. “We were engaged, at our house, swimming in the backyard, trying to invite friends to our party, but no one would come. We couldn’t get anyone over, and I thought, ‘Let’s just make our own friends.’” She jokingly added, “We’re old enough. Everyone’s doing their own thing. So, I asked Kevin, ‘You want to have a baby?’ and he said, ‘Let’s have a baby.’”
In August 2023, Fedotowsky-Manno posted photos of her daughter Molly on her first day of first grade, reflecting on the special milestone. “First day of FIRST grade PART TWO!!! HERE WE GO!!! Wish her luck!” she captioned the images, sharing her excitement as Molly began the year again.
