Chatri Sityodtong, Chairman and CEO of ONE Championship, spoke about the excitement surrounding the event: “We have an incredible lineup with three world title fights, and every single match is going to be electrifying. The atmosphere at Impact Arena, which was sold out weeks ago, will be electric. This event is not just going to light up the stadium; it’s going to light up the world.”

He also highlighted the significance of the main event: “In the main event, we have Superbon versus Tawanchai II. Superbon is the reigning featherweight kickboxing champion, and one of Thailand’s greatest fighters. Tawanchai is also one of the best fighters to come out of Thailand. These two are among the best pound-for-pound strikers in the world. Whoever wins on Friday will be crowned the king of the kings.”

Tawanchai PK Saenchai shared his ambitions for the fight: “My dream now is to hold a kickboxing belt as well. Superbon has competed in my Muay Thai rule set. After I beat him again, I want to face him in kickboxing to take his title.”

Superbon, the defending featherweight kickboxing champion, reflected on the first fight: “In our first fight, I learned that Tawanchai has a very fast kick and his teep kicks are very precise. I studied those moves, and now I believe I can beat him this Friday.”

Fabricio Andrade, the ONE Bantamweight MMA World Champion, spoke about his upcoming defense against Kwon Won Il: “After his first loss, Kwon made a lot of improvements, especially in grappling, and showed that in his last three fights. But I still believe I’m the better fighter.”

Kwon Won Il, ranked #3 in the bantamweight division, admitted his mindset wasn’t right in their previous meeting, but he believes he’s now improved: “I wasn’t in the right mindset last time, and Fabricio’s striking was too good. But I’ve worked hard on my grappling and striking, and now I’m confident I’m better than him.”

Nico Carrillo, the #2-ranked bantamweight Muay Thai contender, discussed his readiness for the fight against Nabil Anane: “When Superlek pulled out, it was a blow, but I’m grateful to ONE Championship for quickly organizing the interim title fight. Facing someone as tall as Nabil is challenging, but I’ve made the adjustments, and I’m ready.”

Nabil Anane, ranked #5 in bantamweight Muay Thai, reflected on his growth since his last fight: “I was disappointed by my fight against Superlek, but I learned a lot from that experience. I’ve become a better fighter since then. I know Nico has a lot of power and is tough, but I’ve trained hard, and you’ll see how I handle his power this Friday.”

ONE 170 promises to be a night filled with intense action and high-stakes battles as some of the world’s best martial artists face off for glory.
