BeerBiceps Sparks Outrage with Crass Joke on India’s Got Talent

by Diana Ward

Famous YouTuber and podcast host, Ranveer Allahbadia, also known by his online name ‘BeerBiceps,’ has come under fire for a distasteful comment made during his appearance on comedian Samay Raina’s show, India’s Got Latent. Allahbadia’s joke, which asked a contestant whether they would prefer to watch their parents engage in sexual activity for the rest of their life or join them once to end it, has sparked widespread criticism.

The controversial moment occurred when Ranveer Allahbadia appeared as a judge on the latest episode of India’s Got Latent, alongside fellow judges Samay Raina, Ashish Chanchlani, and Apoorva Mukhija, also known as The Rebel Kid. The joke, which left the other judges visibly shocked, has since gone viral and attracted severe backlash on social media.

“Would you rather watch your parents have sex every day or join them to finish it once and for all?” Allahbadia asked the contestant, a question that caused even Raina, known for his own dark humor, to react with disbelief. “What the f***?” Raina exclaimed, while another judge expressed concern over the inappropriate nature of the comment.

Although the judges laughed off the remark, social media users were not as forgiving. A short clip of the ‘joke’ quickly circulated online, triggering a wave of criticism.

Neelesh Misra, a user on platform X (formerly Twitter), condemned the showrunners for allowing such content to be aired. “This content is not marked as adult content — a child could easily come across it if the algorithm directs them there. Creators and platforms show no responsibility,” Misra wrote. He also commented on the growing trend of creators pushing boundaries for more views and revenue. “Decency is not rewarded in India, and creators are sinking lower for audience reach,” he added.

Other users also took to social media to criticize the comment. One user labeled Ranveer Allahbadia as “deranged” and “depraved,” while another pointed out the misconception of dark humor among Indian audiences. “Most Indian comedy fans don’t understand what dark humor truly is. They confuse vulgarity with it,” remarked Kamlesh Singh, another user on X.

The incident has ignited broader discussions about the regulation of content that may be easily accessible to younger audiences, especially on platforms like YouTube and social media.
