A$AP Rocky and Rihanna may have already chosen a name for their next baby, and it might surprise you.
Following Rocky’s acquittal in a 2021 shooting case, his lawyer, Joe Tacopina, spoke to Extra and shared a lighthearted moment. Tacopina joked that the couple promised to name their next child after him.
“They grabbed me and said, ‘Listen, our next baby [is] A$AP Joe,'” Tacopina recalled. “I said, ‘I’m gonna hold you to that!'”
Tacopina also mentioned that Rocky expressed his love for him, calling them “family.”
On February 18, a jury cleared Rocky of two felony assault charges after he was accused of firing a semi-automatic handgun at his former friend, A$AP Relli, in a dispute in November 2021.
After hearing the verdict, Rocky rushed to hug his mother, sister, and partner Rihanna. He thanked the jury, saying, “Thank y’all for saving my life. Thank y’all for making the right decision.”
During the trial, Rihanna made a rare appearance with their two sons, RZA, 2½, and Riot, 18 months, at the Clara Shortridge Foltz Criminal Justice Center in downtown Los Angeles. The children were well-behaved throughout the proceedings.
Rihanna entered the courtroom with the toddlers wearing a gray raincoat, accompanied by an older woman. During a break, the couple took turns holding their sons. At one point, Rihanna shared a moment with the kids, telling them to “wish Daddy good luck” as Rocky kissed them before returning to the courtroom. Rihanna reentered the trial alone, without the children.
