Comedian Samay Raina is making headlines following the controversy surrounding YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia’s inappropriate comments on the YouTube show India’s Got Latent. During his recent performance, Samay shared a humorous conversation he had with fellow comedian Tanmay Bhat about the scandal, which left the audience in stitches.
While touring in Canada for his “Samay Raina Unfiltered” tour, Raina addressed the incident during a live performance at Massey Theatre in Vancouver. He humorously asked Tanmay Bhat if people lose their appetite after a scandal.
As reported by News18, Samay Raina recalled the conversation: “I spoke to Tanmay Bhat, and asked him if something like this makes a person lose their appetite. He said, ‘you don’t feel hungry in such situations.’ So I asked him, ‘Then how did you get so fat?'”
The controversy erupted when Allahbadia made a shocking comment to a contestant, asking whether they would prefer to watch their parents have sex every day for the rest of their lives or participate once to stop it forever. The comment sparked outrage on social media, with many calling it vulgar and inappropriate.
The situation intensified when multiple FIRs were filed against Raina, Allahbadia, and other panelists on the show. Law enforcement became involved, and both comedians were summoned for questioning.
