Lana Del Rey’s set at the 2025 Stagecoach Festival not only introduced a brand new song but also included an unexpected comment about country music star Morgan Wallen.
During her performance on Friday, April 25, Del Rey, 39, jokingly stated, “I kissed Morgan Wallen,” while performing her new song, “57.5.” She added, “I guess kissing me kind of went to his head. If you want my secret to success, I suggest [you] don’t go ATVing with him when you’re out west.”
It’s unclear whether Del Rey’s statement was a playful remark or if it refers to a lyric in the song. As of now, there’s no confirmation of a kiss between Del Rey and Wallen, 31. Del Rey has been married to Jeremy Dufrene, 39, an alligator tour guide in Louisiana, since late 2024.
Del Rey and Dufrene began dating in May 2024, after the singer posted photos from one of his wildlife tours from 2019. They married in September 2024 without confirming their engagement publicly. In a recent interview with InStyle, Del Rey shared, “It’s good. We’re happy,” when discussing life as a newlywed.
Before her marriage to Dufrene, Del Rey had relationships with several high-profile figures, including Barrie-James O’Neill, Francisco Carrozzini, G-Eazy, Sean Larkin, and Clayton Johnson.
In a 2014 interview with Rolling Stone, Del Rey reflected on her past relationships, saying, “It’s been beautiful, but it’s been confusing because when that’s your prerogative, things don’t end in a traditional way.” She explained that her relationships often didn’t follow typical patterns and were more tied to her creative process.
She continued, “There’s high-impact events that happen, or big adventures, or big fallouts. So it’s inspiring, and it’s not grounding, but it’s what I need to keep going.” At the time, Del Rey expressed that she was “really looking for an equal” and didn’t mind an age-gap relationship. (Dufrene is 10 years older than Del Rey.)
“I sort of have an affinity for really good, strong, self-assured people,” she said, noting that she felt she had more in common with people older than those in their 20s.
As for Wallen, the country star has a notable dating history, with past relationships including Kristin Cavallari, Paige Lorenze, and Meghan Moroney. Despite some controversy, Wallen is often described by his exes as a gentleman in relationships.
“Morgan’s a good guy. He has a big heart, he really does,” Cavallari, 38, said on the Dumb Blonde podcast in December 2024. She added, “He was very sweet. He was like, ‘I’ll pick you up, I’ll pick the place’ and just handled business. He picked me up. He met my kids [with ex-husband Jay Cutler], and they were so excited. It was so cute. He got us a private room.”
